The log in screen could be a black screen with reconnect on it for all I care. You rarely see it any more and so theres really no reason for it to be super fancy like it used to. Even in the old days where you had to type your UN/PW to log in you saw the screen for less than 20seconds. yeah it was cool the first few times, but it was whatever after that

Blizzard should just take the easy W and avoid the unnecessary L that is locking Static Flying behind the Pathfinder achievement. I prefer Skyriding and IMO it is better in basically every scenario so for me it doesn't matter. Static Flying being unlocked with Skyriding would not harm any players and only benefit those that it is causing a problem for. I find it weird that so many people are arguing against a change that has 0 affect on them but would benefit others. It's like me saying no to some PvP change because I don't PvP so they should be misearble.

As a potentially returning player that is very skeptical about the Microsoft aquisition, this speaks volumes.... WOW used to be fun... now it's not anymore. It used to get love and special care in small places and doesn't anymore. Corners and getting cut and it's rounded off.... like an old bolt. I like how Valheim has a nice login screen, I like a lot of games that don't develope in reverse and lower standards every patch. Thank God for the summer steam sale. It literally took .05 seconds to find somewhere to spend my money.

No... A wipe in high level play should be a brick. Rewarding skill based play is 100% better than rewarding those who bashed their head on a wall long enough.

With family and phone calls and the need to afk quickly it is nice to have regular flying to just hover in the air. Def prefer it while gathering as well. I wish it was not gated behind pathfinder! Bummer

I wish the flight type was something you could toggle on a per-Mount basis. I really don’t like the idea of having to use an ability every time I want to swap between the two. I’m just going to end up making a macro to summon random favorite skyriding mounts, and then another macro to summon random flying mounts that can’t skyride yet. They could make this the pathfinder reward and avoid the accessibility drama altogether.

Why have flightlock in the first place? Because blizzard is acting like a 5-year-old child who brought home their hand-drawn turkey. And it's got to be on the fridge. You have to show it off to all of your people at work. Everybody's got to see it. Put it in the museum. It's actually childish. It's a bunch of grown ass adults. Who decided to hide one of the most basic features of the game behind a senseless string of achievements as if my amount suddenly forgot how to fly because people don't know who I'm is

They're very proud of their hand turkey. This war within thing's going to be their very first expansion and they want to make sure that everybody gets the most out of it........................ Between them refusing to change the hero towns despite the literal hundreds of thousands of posts talking about all the many myriad of ways that blizzard fucked them up, they're just going to plow on ahead. Just like they always do. I hope you didn't pre-order the expansion cuz they're going to fuck everything up. These hero talents are actually hero talents and they're forcing you into building into very specific direction that most people just wouldn't do. Just like with the restoration druid one. Your only choice is to either be a really shitty off DPS or enhance your healing spells by being forced to pick the stupid Grove guardian trees again. So one season they changed them and then the next season they forced us into the trees with the four-piece set and the two-piece set from season 3. Now they have the same thing again in season 4. All because we have to see their hand turkey because they revamped the trees. When in reality they didn't do much. So then now here we are with the hero talents forcing us into it yet again. So it's basically been like 6 months at this point and then now they're going to make the whole next expansion of where every druid's going to have the exact same talent build because they have no choice but to go that direction. Literally enforcing cookie cutter builds.

I'm sick of even hearing about Pathfinder. It's literally just the developers being pathetic. Little children. Oh look Mom hears us my hand turkey I made. Can you put it on the fridge? Except instead of a child who would totally deserve to have that on the fridge. It's a multi-billion dollar company with a bunch of grown ass adults. Pathfinder was literally never anything other than the developers forcing you to see all of the things that they worked on, whether you wanted to or not because you wanted to be able to just fly.

I always disliked pathfinder, I never thought they could come up with something that I would dislike more.......I was wrong...dragonflight. I never caught on, could not seem to get the many directions that players provided to work. So, yeah! Pathfinder is back...I will take it.

Maybe I'm missing something but why do this transmog farm now and leave items in the mail for when the expansion drops when items in your mail only last 30 days?

I think the loading screen will change during the Worldsoul Saga, and maybe even during TWW expansion. Maybe the first patch it is like this, we beat the first raid, and they add a new screen, etc etc. To me it's not a big deal either way, but I think it's possible they are doing this on purpose with the loading screen.

i shit my pants during shadowlands login, and would sit there for a bit listening to the music. so idk. you're in the minority here for thinking it doesnt matter. good job telling hundreds of thousands of people that their thoughts and feelings on a subject are invalid. typically im a fan of your videos but this one aint it.

I gave my guildie a ride through most of the dragonflight campaign because he was a quadrapelegic and simply could not use the dragon riding using the eye-tracking software that he was using to play the game. Yes, regular flying is an accessibility issue.

the whole locking Hovering behind an achievement is why i motioned for it to be removed to begin with, that Hovering mechanic breaks the game even if it is only like half the speed you get Dragonriding, you can ascend infinitely with no skill and AFK anywhere. now that Flying is important again, we really should just retire Hovering to Classic realms.

I think the main reason for locking old school flying is to limit the speed at which gathering professions can farm, in the hopes of preventing a week one economic saturation. This is especially a problem when it comes to the druids as druids don't break from their flight form when gathering herbs. Its either limit the flight style behind an achievement, which will be completed within the same week of launch for most players', or its limit actual gameplay of players' by either restricting professions or restricting the classes with specifc mechanics that can take advantage of the old school flight system.

I agree on the login screen drama. :D Locking the old flying mode behind the pathfinder achievement is stupid, even if it's easy to earn. On one hand Blizzard made great changes in terms of accessability and decreased it on the other. Mythic+ changes sound interesting! :)

The login screen should progress with your character. Gladiators should have their own upgrade etc. it would be an additional leveling experience

What the hell is this login screen rant from (seemingly) all content creators? I guess the game is otherwise so perfect, they could not find anything else to rant about? 😂 Seriously though, we get the all-new warband screen that is amazing to look at, so the few seconds prior to that is whatever now, IMO.

I love this log in screen. A lot. We've had plenty of crazy log in screens.

Calling it, the login screen is going to fully crack and open when the game launches, showing the world soul or something

I do not mind the Pathfinder for flying and I like they increased the speed

the reason the log in screen looks so bare is most likely cause they are building it up over the world soul saga its going to build up each expac until the end

Where was the "HUGE" news about flying? I was expecting something like the ability to select skyriding/steady for each mount or something like that.

My guess about steady flying having a hurdle?: Probably to slow down gathering bots. Every account that gets banned would require another (n) hours going through all the zone quests to spin up another bot.

As for the login screen, I would prefer just to have the nice little campfire site that’s on the character select screen now, just without the characters. And then it populates with your characters once you login

Throwing my perspective on flying. My 89 year old mother plays but has issues with dragonflying. For that reason and for people with any accessibility issues, regular flying should be available at the same time as df. It's not fair. Lock a mount or something behind pathfinder.

Pathfinder is what made people quit the game. Remember how bfas pathfinder there was like 10 people on the servers with the wonderwing. Cuz looking at the zones from above was the most desolate landscape anyone has ever seen while flying. Theres nothing beautiful to look at from above so everyone just stayed on the ground. It got so bad almost like draenors pathfinding to fly. That they just made pathfinder not required to fly in the zone the literal next expac in shadowlands. And shadowlands just gave it to you for free because nobody wanted to do pathfinder again. Then dragonflight let us fly within the first seconds of entering the zone with dragonriding. WHY. TF. ARE YOU. INTRODUCING. A PATHFINDER

If dragon flying is available on day one, then ALL flying should be available from day one.
